Palác Dunaj Praha

This historic building dates back to 1930 and is located in the very centre of Prague - on Národní Street. The building is currently undergoing a complete renovation that will preserve its historic character while providing tenants with the latest A-standard technology. The project offers private terraces as well as a common terrace for all tenants with a view of the whole of Prague. The Danube Palace is a listed building and one of the most important buildings in Prague at the time. The author of the building for the former headquarters of the Austrian insurance company Donau in Prague was a German architect, a pupil of Jan Kotera, Adolf Foehr. The palace is one of Foehr's best and most progressive works. The palace is clad with yellow travertine on the outside and two strips of white travertine on the higher part. The original orbital elevator, the so-called paternoster, which was manufactured in 1936 by the Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk factory, is still in operation in the palace. Stránka inzerenta.
